CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team begins a two-game, five-day, homestand to close out November with a Saturday matchup against Furman. The Paladins (2-3) and the Cougars (2-2) will tipoff at 2 p.m. live on the Charleston Sports Network with live stats available at CofCStats.com.

SCOUTING FURMAN
• The Paladins sit at 2-3 after taking down Coker in their season and home opener.
• Furman followed on by dropping their two matchups against Middle Tennessee State and Kennesaw State.
• The second victory of the season came on Nov. 17 vs. USC Upstate; a 78-67 victory led by Le'Jzae Davidson's 22 points.
• The Paladins fell heavily at Mississippi State on Wednesday afternoon (106-41) to move to 2-3 on the season entering today's matchup.
• Le'Jzae Davidson, a junior guard, leads Furman this season averaging 17.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game through the opening 5 matchups.
• The Paladins have been picked to finish third in the SoCon Preseason Coaches' Poll.
• They were also picked to finish fifth in the media poll.
• Le'Jzae Davidson and sophomore forward Celena Taborn were named to the 10-member Preseason All-SoCon team.

• Charleston are riding a two-game unbeaten streak inside TD Arena; the longest since the Cougars defeated Drexel and Towson back-to-back in February of 2017.
• This is also the same season that The College had a 3-0 unbeaten run at home (Hofstra, Drexel, Towson).
• The last season Charleston opened a season with a three-game home unbeaten run was in 2015-16 (Houston, Charleston Southern and Appalachian State).
• The last time CofC opened on a four-game home win streak was back in 2013-14 under Natashia Adair.
IMPROVEMENTS ARE KEY
• Through the opening four games of this season, junior guard Deja Ford is shooting 51% from the field, 58% from deep and averaging 12.3 points per game; numbers that are significantly up from last year.
• Four games in during the 2017-18 season, Ford was contributing 5.0 points per game at a 28% and 37% rate.
• Senior guard Darien Huff is also contributing this season at a 51% clip from the field, 58% from deep, for 12.8 points per game, numbers that have helped Charleston average over 73 points per game compared to 61 at this point a year ago.
RANDOM KNOWLEDGE
• The College have put up double-digit victories in the non-conference schedule in the past seven seasons (including this year)
• Five freshmen join the Charleston roster; the biggest recruiting class in Candice M. Jackson's history at CofC.
