
Final CofC Regular-Season Show To Showcase Seniors at Storybook Farm

CHARLESTON, S.C. – One final regular-season home show is on the docket for the College of Charleston equestrian team and scheduled for Saturday, March 3 at Storybook Farm on Johns Island, S.C.
The Cougars' weekend entries include Elizabeth High in Walk/Trot; Jenna McIntosh, Emily Rees and Annika Vilcins in Walk/Trot/Canter; Gabrielle Bernier, Madison King and Kat Perry in Novice Flat; Molly Coyle and Hannah Bentz in Novice Fences; Sammie Barton and Sophia Meserve in Intermediate Flat; Christina Hayden and Shannon Rice in Intermediate Fences; Annie Kuniansky and Shannon Rice in Open Flat; and Rio Parker and Hannah Showell in Open Fences.
Participating in their final home show will be seniors Christina Hayden, Madison King, Annie Kuniansky, Rio Parker, Kat Perry, Emily Rees, Hannah Showell and Amber Dorn.
"We traditionally host the final show of the regular season," CofC Head Coach Bob Story said. "With our sizable lead in the region, we get to showcase our seniors at home for their final IHSA competition. The team has had great practices since last weekend and I expect a positive outcome on Saturday. The regional qualifiers will head down to Georgia Southern at the conclusion of our show to compete in the Region Finals."
Competition will start at 9:00 a.m. (ET). All flat classes will go first followed by the over fence classes.
The IHSA Regionals will be held on Sunday, March 4 at Evermore Farms in Brooklet, Ga. The Cougars (294 points) currently hold a 33-point lead over South Carolina (261 points) in the region standings. Georgia Southern (230 points) is third, Coastal Carolina (217 points) fourth and Clemson (210) fifth.
