
Cougars Finish Third at Trinity Forest Invitational

DALLAS, Texas – The College of Charleston men's golf team finished third at the three-day Trinity Forest Invitational held at the par-71 Trinity Forest Golf Club.
Junior Hunter Dunagan (Augusta, Ga.) was the Cougars' top finisher shooting 10-under par for the tournament with rounds of 66, 67 and 70. He tied for third with John Axelsen of Florida and McClure Meissner of SMU. Thomas Rosenmueller of North Texas claimed individual medalist honors (-13).
Junior Logan Sowell (Kershaw, S.C.) shot a career-low final-round 65 with seven birdies on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th, 14th and 18th. It tied the fifth-lowest round by a CofC golfer in program history. He finished the tournament tied for seventh at 7-under par.
Baylor won the team title with a three-round score of 824 (-28), while host SMU was runner-up (-27) and Florida placed fourth (-18).
CofC will next compete at the FAMC Intercollegiate at The Grove hosted by Middle Tennessee on Oct. 7-9 at the Grove Golf Club in Nashville, Tenn.
