CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team welcome the joint league leaders in Towson and James Madison to TD Arena as the Cougars open Colonial Athletic Association home play for the 2019 season.

The Tigers are the first to visit the lowcountry with tip set for 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening with the game broadcast live on the Charleston Sports Network.

QUICK HITS
• Darien Huff is averaging 13.1 points per game and has hit double-digits in all but two game this season.
• Huff has hit at least one three-point attempt in 20 consecutive games dating back to Feb. 18, 2018
• Three Charleston student-athletes are averaging double-figures through CAA play; Darien Huff (11.3), Baileigh Larson (10.7) and Deja Ford (13.0).
• Baileigh Larson set career highs in points (16) and rebounds (7) against William & Mary.
• Tyler Collins leads the CAA in assists per game, averaging 5.5. (36th in the NCAA)

• Huff hit 800 career points against Charleston Southern and will reach the 1,000-point club if continuing her scoring average.

SCOUTING TOWSON
• The Tigers have opened conference play with back-to-back weekend sweeps to sit at 4-0 in CAA play, the best start in conference play for Towson under second year head coach Diane Richardson.
• Redshirt sophomore Kionna Jeter leads the offense with 21.1 points per game while junior Nukiya Mayo is contributing 13.1 points per game.
• Mayo is leading the team in rebounds with 7.1 per game, and senior Maia Lee has broken into the top rebounders on the team with 6.3 per game.
• Jeter remains among the nation's top-25 scorers. She is 13th in points per game (21.1) and No. 29 in total points scored (316).
• This week Towson was receiving votes in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll.

QUOTABLE – HEAD COACH CANDICE M. JACKSON
"Really excited [to be back in TD Arena] ... It's been a while, at least since the new year, so it's exciting to be back in front our fans, our home court, back in our comfort zone... But we have to really come to play against Towson and James Madison, both tied for first place [in the CAA], it's a challenge and you have to be ready and willing to step up to the challenge... I think we did that on Sunday [against William & Mary], we played well on both ends of the floor and put a whole game together... We're continuing to grow and get better, that's what this weekend is going to be about, it's a grind, going to be a dog-fight, so we just have to be ready."

CONSISTENT BUCKETS
• Darien Huff has double scoring digits in 12 of the Cougars 14 games this season.
• Huff has also converted from beyond the arc at least once in every game this season; her streak is at 20 games dating back to Feb. 18, 2018 against Delaware.

THE SEASON THAT COUNTS
Three Charleston student-athletes are averaging double-figures through CAA play; Darien Huff (11.3), Baileigh Larson (10.7) and Deja Ford (13.0).
Tyler Collins leads the CAA in assists and assists per game, both in the top-50 in the entire NCAA, with Darien Huff and Deja Ford are 10th and 12th in average points per game in the conference.
Ford is converting from the field at 47.9%, second best in the CAA, while Huff is the 6th best free throw shooter and 4th best stealer in the conference while averaging 2.1 three-pointers per game.
