Freshmen Turn in Top Eight Performances at Gamecock Inaugural

Complete Gamecock Inaugural Results
COLUMBIA, S.C. - College of Charleston freshmen Laurie Fogleman and Choe Christian both placed in the top eight on the second day of the Gamecock Inaugural.
Fogleman took sixth in the 5000 with a time of 21:02.72, and Christian was eighth in the pole vault with a top mark of 3.40 meters (11 feet, 1 ¾ inches). Freshman Lily Nowakowski led a group of six Cougars in the 200, crossing the finish line in 27.18, while Hannah Vander Wall had a PR of 27.84 in the event.
The distance medley relay team of Cate Ambrose, Eileen Vedder, Kristen Cherry and Tess Masselink turned in a solid performance, placing fourth with a time of 12:42.46.
The Cougars are back in action February 1-2 at the Camel City Invitational held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
