CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball is set to travel to Rock Hill, S.C. to face off against Winthrop on Sunday, Dec. 1 with tip-off scheduled for 2 p.m. ET

Last Outing
CofC fell to Presbyterian by a score of 58-54 in a battle to the finish. The Cougars late comeback was just short as the Eagles hit crucial free throws at the end of the game to seal the victory. Sophomore Tyler Collins led The College in scoring with 13 points while senior Deja Ford poured in 10 points herself. Senior Baileigh Larson knocked in a season-high eight points, shooting 4/5 from the field while only playing 13 minutes.

Notables

Latrice Perkins has three double-doubles on the season while Arynn Eady has two.
Perkins became the first Cougar since 2015 to score at least 29 points in a single game in a 79-70 OT win against High Point on Nov. 10.
The Cougars forced 33 turnovers against Coker on Nov. 12 which tied the most in a game since 2010 when CofC took down Wofford.
Six Cougars have scored in double digits this season.
Perkins earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 6-12).
Eady earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 13-19).
The Cougars return four starters from the 2018-19 season including senior Deja Ford and sophomores Madison Taylor, Arynn Eady and Tyler Collins.
Ford was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention.
The College introduce four new faces to the squad this year.

Scouting Winthrop
Winthrop enters the game with an overall record of 1-4 and ride a three-game losing streak. In its most recent matchup, the Eagles were taken down by Georgia Southern by a score of 91-47.
Head Coach Lynette Woodard is in the midst of her third season at the helm of the program. Woodard is a two-time U.S. Olympian, a four-time All-American, the all-time Division I women's scoring leader, a 10-time Hall of Fame inductee, and the first woman to play for the world-renowned Harlem Globetrotters.

The team is led by Jah'Che Whitfield, who is the only player who averaged double digit points with 12.0 per game. Whitfield is also second on the team in rebounds per game, with 5.8.
