CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball returns home from the holiday break to close out non-conference play as it faces off against Western Carolina with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at TD Arena.

Last Outing
The College took down Charleston Southern in a lowcountry showdown on Dec. 20 by a score of 79-70 to earn its sixth win of the season. Senior Deja Ford led all scorers with 24 points while also adding in an impressive seven rebounds, five assists and four steals stat line. Sophomores Tyler Collins and Latrice Perkins also poured in 17 and 10 points, respectively. In addition to Perkins' 10 points, she added six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Senior Baileigh Larson provided a huge spark off the bench by logging seven points, six rebounds and two steals while playing a career-high 26 minutes. The largest lead of the game for the Cougars was 18 points at the 2:46 mark of the fourth quarter.

Notables

Latrice Perkins has three double-doubles on the season while Arynn Eady has two.
Perkins and Collins became the first Cougars since 2015 to score at least 29 points in a single game.
The Cougars forced 33 turnovers against Coker on Nov. 12 which tied the most in a single game since 2010 when CofC took down Wofford.
Six Cougars have scored in double digits this season.
Perkins earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 6-12).
Eady earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 13-19).
The Cougars return four starters from the 2018-19 season including senior Deja Ford and sophomores Madison Taylor, Arynn Eady and Tyler Collins.
Ford was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention.
The College introduce four new faces to the squad this year.

Western Carolina comes into the game with an overall record of 2-11, with its most recent matchup ending in a 63-60 loss to Winthrop. The Catamounts are currently on a three-game losing streak, looking to get a win to close out non-conference play.

Head Coach Kiley Hill is in the midst of his first season at the helm of the program. His team is led by Jewel Smalls and Lauren LaPlant who average team-highs 15.9 and 10.5 points, respectively.

Western Carolina have a 0-5 record on the road this season, with its largest loss coming to the hands of Davidson by a score of 101-51. The Catamounts largest win of the season came against Virginia Wise in their first game of the season by a score of 64-55.
