CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team head out on a final two-game road swing of 2019 with trips to Hofstra and Northeastern on Friday and Sunday.
The Cougars and the Pride tip off on Friday evening, live on Pride Productions, at 7:05 p.m. in Hempstead, N.Y.
QUOTABLE – HEAD COACH CANDICE M. JACKSON
"The matchup against Hofstra is going to be a big one, very key, get us back going on the road and really just focusing in… We did a really good job defending Hofstra for the most part, Boogie [Brozoski] is a really good player, she's tough to guard, we have to get that figured out… Overall I think we match up with them well, it's going to be key for us to execute and for us to really get Darien [Huff] and Deja [Ford] going offensively… It'll be good to see Darien get her 1,000 points in her career but that's not the focus, the focus really will be to have good shooting nights… We play so much better when they're [Huff and Ford are] scoring, it opens up so much more, it helps us generate good defensive possessions and that's what we're going to need to do, give them [Huff and Ford] the ball early in good positions."
