IHSA Zone Finals Up Next For Bledsoe and Coyle

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Zone Finals are up next for two members of the College of Charleston equestrian team on Saturday, March 30 at the Auburn University Equestrian Center in Auburn, Ala.
Junior Molly Coyle (Davidsonville, Md.) was the regional champion in Novice Fences, while junior Samantha Bledsoe (St. Charles, Ill.) was the reserve regional champion in Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter. Both will compete in the same events at zones this weekend.
The top riders in each class at zones will advance to the IHSA National Championships on May 2-5 at the New York State Fairground Expo Center in Syracuse, N.Y.
"We are excited to be hitting the road to Auburn University this weekend," CofC Head Coach Natasha V. McCarthy said. "We are feeling confident and prepared after the strong weeks we've had. We are now on a mission to give it our all."
Last year, Bledsoe reached nationals individually in Walk/Trot/Canter and Coyle competed in the team portion in Novice Fences.
