Charleston to Set Sail in Three Regattas This Weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- A busy weekend lies ahead for the College of Charleston sailing team with three regattas on the docket including the Danmark Trophy on Saturday and Sunday in New London, Conn., and the Women's Showcase Semifinal on Saturday and Sunday in Providence, R.I. The Cougars will also sail at North Points #5 on Saturday in Wilmington, N.C.

Jack Brown will skipper A-Division for the Cougars at the Danmark Trophy with Noelle Owens and Max Williams splitting time at crew. Skipper Alie Toppa will represent the Maroon and White in B-Division with crew Katie Lounsbury and Jack Sutton.

Junior Marian Williams is slated to lead the line for the Cougars at the Women's Showcase Semifinal in Providence, R.I. as the A-Division skipper. Crew Natasha Scott Morton and Julia Jeffries will be on the rail with Marian Williams. Nicole Simon will skipper B-Division with crew Hannah Kinder and Emily Essi.

The Cougars will also sail at North Points #5 on Saturday in Wilmington, N.C. with Ryan Ratliffe skippering A-Division alongside crew Emmi Triplett. Jack Howard will skipper B-Division with crew Elizabeth DiPietro.
