CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball is set to face off against William & Mary on the road on Sunday, Jan. 12 with tip-off scheduled for 2 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcasted live on FloSports.
Last Outing
The College lost its first conference game of the season with a 90-48 loss at Elon. Freshman Taylor Williams scored a career-high 21 points in the game, but it wasn't enough to close the gap. Elon started the game off hot as it went on a 13-0 run, knocking down three triples in the process. Although CofC followed up with an 8-0 run itself, the Phoenix didn't let up as they continued to knock down shots and kept the lead for the rest of the game. The College was held to just six points in the third quarter and shot its worst field goal percentage (23.9%) of the season for the game.

William & Mary comes into the game with an overall record of 10-4 and a 1-2 record in conference play. W&M comes into the game riding a 72-55 loss against UNCW. The Tribe opened up CAA play with a loss to James Madison before picking up their first win against Towson on the road.
Head Coach Ed Swanson is in the midst of his seventh season at the helm of the program. Swanson has guided the Tribe to 15 wins in five consecutive seasons, a first for the program. He has a record of 99-97 with W&M and a 505-360 record throughout his entire coaching career.
The team is led by Eva Hodgson, who averages a team-high 18.9 points. Hodgson scored a season-high 27 points in a 77-65 win over Army West Point and has scored over 20 points in five games this year. The Tribe also boasts Victoria Reynolds who is the only other member of the Tribe to average double digit points with 15.0 per game.

- The Cougars started conference play 2-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season. This also marks the first time The College has gone 2-0 in CAA play since joining the league in 2013.
- Latrice Perkins (14.4), Tyler Collins (13.7) and Deja Ford (13.8) lead the Cougars in scoring per game.
- Senior Deja Ford earned her first CAA Player of the Week honors for the week of 12/30 through 1/5 after scoring 59 points while leading the Cougars to three wins.
- Latrice Perkins has three double-doubles on the season while Arynn Eady has two.
- Perkins and Collins became the first Cougars since 2015 to score at least 29 points in a single game.
