CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball returns home to face off against Towson on Friday, Jan. 17 with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET at TD Arena. This matchup will be broadcasted on FloSports.

Last Outing
The College dropped its second consecutive game as it fell to William & Mary by a score of 85-60 on the road to move to 2-2 in conference play. Freshman Taylor Williams led the Cougars in scoring for the second straight game with 14 points, while shooting 5-10 from the field. Sophomore Latrice Perkins poured in 13 points on 5-9 shooting and grabbed four rebounds in the process. The Cougars couldn't find their groove while the Tribe shot over 58% from the field in the matchup.

Notables

Head Coach Robin Harmony has a total of 255 wins throughout her career.
The Cougars started conference play 2-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season. This also marks the first time The College has gone 2-0 in CAA play since joining the league in 2013.
Latrice Perkins (13.7), Tyler Collins (12.2) and Deja Ford (12.8) lead the Cougars in scoring per game.
Sophomore Arynn Eady ranks second in rebounds in the CAA with 8.3 per game.
Senior Deja Ford earned her first CAA Player of the Week honors for the week of 12/30 through 1/5 after scoring 59 points while leading the Cougars to three wins.
Latrice Perkins has three double-doubles on the season while Arynn Eady has two.
Perkins and Collins became the first Cougars since 2015 to score at least 29 points in a single game.
The Cougars forced 33 turnovers against Coker on Nov. 12 which tied the most in a single game since 2010 when CofC took down Wofford.
Perkins earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 6-12).
Eady earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 13-19).
Ford earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Dec. 30-Jan. 5).
The Cougars return four starters from the 2018-19 season including senior Deja Ford and sophomores Madison Taylor, Arynn Eady and Tyler Collins.
Ford was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention.
Ford needs only 51 points to reach the 1,000-point milestone

Scouting Towson
Towson comes into the game with an overall record of 6-8 and a 1-2 record in conference play. The Tigers are riding a two-game win streak, most recently beating James Madison by a score of 76-75. CofC and Towson are both 0-2 against common opponents played so far this season.

Head coach Diane Richardson is in the midst of her third season at the helm of the program. She has accumulated an overall record of 35-42 in her coaching career. Richardson guided the Tigers to their most wins in the last 10 years and the first winning season since the 2011-12 season.

The team is led by Kionna Jeter and Nukiya Mayo, who average a team-high 18.6 and 15.5 points per game, respectively. Jeter and Mayo rank fourth and sixth respectively in scoring in the CAA.
