CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball remains at home for a third consecutive game as they play host to UNCW on Sunday, Jan. 26 with tip-off scheduled for 1 p.m. This game will be broadcasted on FloSports.
Last Outing
The College fell to preseason favorites James Madison at home by a score of 87-53. The Dukes started off the game on an 11-0 run after the Cougars got on the board first with a made free throw. JMU once again started off hot at the beginning of the second quarter, going on a 9-2 run and led by as much as 22 points in the quarter. Perkins opened up the scoring for the Cougars in the second half after knocking down consecutive buckets, cutting the JMU lead to just 13 points. The Dukes didn't allow CofC to bring the score within 24 points throughout the entire fourth quarter and led by as much as 34 points.

The Seahawks come into the game with an overall record of 5-12 and a 2-4 record in CAA play. UNCW is looking to bounce back after losing three consecutive games, most recently to Towson by a score of 41-62 on Jan. 19.
Head coach Karen Barefoot is in the midst of her third season at the helm of the program. She has accumulated 35 wins and 43 losses while at UNCW. Overall, she has posted a 347-280 record throughout her 22-year coaching career.
The team is led by GiGi Smith and Lacey Suggs who score 16.8 and 11.9 points per game, respectively. Smith is in the Top 5 in scoring in the CAA. In addition, Suggs grabs 5.2 rebounds per game, leading the Seahawks in that category.
