CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball closes out its two-game road stint up north with a matchup against Hofstra on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcasted on FloSports.
Last Outing
The College was narrowly taken down by Northeastern on the road by a score of 72-68. This CAA matchup was a back-and-forth scoring affair all night long. However, Northeastern pulled away by 17 points within the first few minutes of the fourth quarter. CofC clawed its way back into the game after going on a 24-6 run and cut the Huskies lead to just two points with under a minute left to play in regulation. NU went on to hit a few free throws and ultimately won the game by a margin of four points. Sophomores Tyler Collins and Latrice Perkins led the Cougars in scoring with 18 and 13 points, respectively. In addition, Perkins grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists.

Hofstra comes into the game with an overall record of 3-16 and a 0-8 record in CAA play. In its most recent matchup, the Pride fell to UNCW at home by a score of 59-62. The Pride was picked last to win the league in the preseason poll.
Head coach Danielle Santos Atkinson is in the midst of her first season at the helm of the program and her first year as a head coach. Prior to Hofstra, Atkinson served as the associate head coach at Pittsburgh for one season.
The team is led by Jaylen Hines and Ana Hernandez Gil who lead the Pride in scoring with 11.2 and 10.2 points per game, respectively. Hines also leads the team with 8.3 rebounds per game which ranks fourth in the CAA.

- Head Coach Robin Harmony has a total of 256 wins throughout her career.
- The Cougars started conference play 2-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season. This also marks the first time The College has gone 2-0 in CAA play since joining the league in 2013.
- Latrice Perkins (13.5), Tyler Collins (12.9) and Deja Ford (11.4) lead the Cougars in scoring per game.
- Sophomore Arynn Eady ranks second in rebounds in the CAA with 9.2 per game.
- Eady logged a career-high 18 rebounds in a 67-63 OT win over UNCW on Jan. 26 which is tied for fourth most in a single game in program history.
- Senior Deja Ford earned her first CAA Player of the Week honors for the week of 12/30 through 1/5 after scoring 59 points while leading the Cougars to three wins.
- Latrice Perkins has three double-doubles on the season while Arynn Eady has two.
- Perkins and Collins became the first Cougars since 2015 to score at least 29 points in a single game.
- The Cougars forced 33 turnovers against Coker on Nov. 12 which tied the most in a single game since 2010 when CofC took down Wofford.
- Perkins earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 6-12).
- Eady earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors twice this season for play through Nov. 13-19 and Jan. 22-28.
- Ford earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Dec. 30-Jan. 5).
- The Cougars return four starters from the 2018-19 season including senior Deja Ford and sophomores Madison Taylor, Arynn Eady and Tyler Collins.
- Ford was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention.
- Ford needs only 29 points to reach the 1,000-point milestone
