
Cougars to Set Sail at Three Regattas This Weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston sailing team will compete in three regattas this weekend with trips to the Coed ACC Finals on Saturday and Sunday in Annapolis, Md. and the Yale Women's on Saturday and Sunday in Branford, Conn. Charleston will also compete in a 2v2 on Saturday at The Citadel.
Sophomore Max Anker will lead the line for Charleston at the Coed ACC Finals skippering A-Division alongside sophomore crew Kalea Woodard. Junior Taylor Hasson will skipper B-Division with sophomore Adrianna Lee crewing.
At the Yale Women's sophomore Grace Squires will skipper A-Division with a crew rotation of sophomores Chloe Hudgins and Rowan Schanley. Freshman Fredrikke Foss is slated to skipper B-Division with sophomores Lucy Klempen and Cara Samson splitting time at crew.
The Cougars will also send both a coed team and a women's squad across the peninsula for a 2v2 – an abbreviated team race format with two boats instead of three – on Saturday at The Citadel. Freshmen Charlie McKenzie and Ethan Homberger will man the tiller for the coed team with sophomore Garrett Grenauer and freshman Nina Lubchenco crewing for McKenzie and Homberger, respectively. Senior Kiera O'Reardon and freshman Grace Beard will skipper for the women's team with junior Anna Sherry and freshman Sophia Browne crewing for O'Reardon and Beard, respectively.
