CofC Wraps Up Fall Season with Daniel Island Intercollegiate

The Cougs compete against 19 teams at Daniel Island Club Sunday and Monday
CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston men's golf team is back in action for the first time since Oct. 12 as the Cougars wrap up the fall season at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate hosted by Charleston Southern Oct. 31-Nov. 1. CofC tees off at the Daniel Island Club on Halloween morning, playing 36 holes on Sunday and 18 final holes on Monday.
CofC will take on a field of 20 teams including Campbell, Charleston Southern, Eastern Kentucky, Florida State, Francis Marion, Gardner-Webb, High Point, Jacksonville State, Leigh, Presbyterian, Purdue-Fort Wayne, Seton Hall, South Carolina, USC Aiken, USC Upstate, VCU, Virginia, Western Carolina and Winthrop.
The Cougars are currently ranked No. 78 nationally, the highest of any CAA team, heading into the Daniel Island Intercollegiate. Head coach Mitch Krywulycz' squad is coming off a strong seventh-place finish at the loaded Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in which four Cougars finished in the Top-30, led by Zach Reuland and Kieron van Wyk at T-19. Reuland has netted one CAA Golfer of the Week honor already this season awhile van Wyk was recently selected to play on Team South Africa at the famed Spirit International Amateur Championship Nov. 4-6.
Van Wyk headlines CofC's lineup at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate as he and fellow freshman Nevill Ruiter make their third consecutive starts to begin their careers. Reuland is in third spot in the lineup while steady senior Jack Parrott holds down the fourth spot.
Freshman Tim Bertenbreiter is making his official collegiate debut in CofC's lineup this week.
