Cougars Prepared for Busy Weekend Ahead

Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston sailing team will set sail in three regattas this weekend with the offshore team competing at the Larchmont Intercollegiate Regatta on Friday, October 8 through Sunday, October 10, and the dinghy team sailing at North Points #5 on Saturday in Clemson, S.C. and the Coed ACC Semifinals on Saturday and Sunday in Branford, Conn.

The Cougars are in search of their second title since 2017 at the Larchmont Intercollegiate Offshore with Emily Potter at driver, Sean Groskoph at main/tactics, John McCarthy at primary, Megan Fetterley at secondary, Maggie Wilcox at pit, Evan Chenard at mast and Cade Morris at bow.

Freshman Grace Beard will skipper A-Division at North Points #5 with sophomore Cara Samson crewing. Freshmen Leah Cody and Sophia Browne will represent the Cougars in B-Division.

At the ACC Semifinals, junior Brandon Geller is slated to skipper A-Division for the Cougars alongside sophomore crew Kalea Woodard. Sophomore Alex Stordahl will skipper B-Division with sophomore Lucy Klempen crewing. Jack Sutton will make the trip as well as an alternate.
