GAME PREVIEW
The College of Charleston women's soccer team (0-4-0) continues its tough spring slate with a meeting at No. 12-ranked South Carolina (7-3-0) on Sunday, March 7 at 2 p.m. (ET) at Stone Stadium in Columbia, S.C. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
The Cougars are coming off a 1-0 decision to Coastal Carolina on March 4, while the Gamecocks had their first spring game postponed with Charlotte on March 1.
"It's another fantastic opportunity for the Cougars to travel to play a Top 20 opponent," CofC Head Coach Christian Michner said. "We have not shied away from playing highly-ranked teams throughout my career here and this season is no different.
"South Carolina will pose a real challenge for us and will force my team to be at their best. I know our players are up for it, and honestly, those moments out there competing with each other is what it's all about. We relish these opportunities and will give everything we have for 90 minutes."
Charleston will have played SEC and ACC competition in four of their last five games to start the spring season including Florida and Clemson (twice).
