AIKEN, S.C. – Graduate senior Logan Sowell fired a second-round 67 to pace the College of Charleston men's golf team after 36 holes of tournament play at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate on Monday at the Palmetto Golf Club.
Ten Top-100 ranked golfers make up the 75- player field and Sowell is right in the mix of that group. He made six birdies in the second round, after shooting 2-over par in the opening round. He is currently tied for 14th (-1).
Freshman Zach Reuland, currently ranked No. 75 in the nation, is tied for 19th with rounds of 72 and 68 on his scorecard. He is even through 36 holes as well as graduate senior Hunter Dunagan, who shot a pair of 70s.
As a team, the Cougars are in sixth in the 15-team field behind current leader and No. 7-ranked Clemson, UNCW, Furman, No. 4-ranked and host USC Aiken (-8) and VCU (-5).
Tomorrow's final round will be a shotgun start beginning at 9:00 a.m. (ET).
