Cougars Put Together Another Strong Day, Remain In Lead at CAA Men's Golf Championship

SAINT HELENA ISLAND, S.C. – Top-seed College of Charleston put together another strong day with three players shooting under par on Day Two of the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golf Championship held on Monday at Dataw Island Club.
The Cougars led by five strokes after the opening round, and now, hold a 17-stroke advantage heading into tomorrow's final round.
Freshman Zach Reuland (Rock Hill, S.C.) is the current individual leader firing a 4-under par 68 with six birdies to match his first-round score. He is 8-under after 36 holes, while teammate Christian Baliker (Greenville, S.C.) is tied for second with Angelo Giantsopoulos of Drexel at 5-under par for the tournament.
Graduate seniors Logan Sowell (Kershaw, S.C.) and Michael Sass (Louisville, Ky.) both contributed to the team's second-round score with a pair of 69s on the par-72 Cotton Dike Course on Monday. Sowell is tied for fourth (-4), while Sass is tied for seventh (-2).
The Cougars lead the eight-team field (-19) followed by Drexel in second (-2), William & Mary third (+4), James Madison fourth (+6), Elon fifth (+11), Delaware sixth (+21), Towson seventh (+27) and Hofstra eighth (+93).
