Cougars Sign Ruiter For 2021-22 Season

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Dutch amateur Nevill Ruiter has signed to attend the College of Charleston and join the Cougars' men's golf program in the fall of 2021 announced head coach Mitch Krywulycz Monday.
"Nevill is someone we connected with instantly in the recruiting process," Coach Krywulycz said. "He is extremely competitive and self-motivated. He has already shown off his potential by winning national amateur championships in Europe. We have a great young man on his way to The College."
Ruiter has risen through the amateur ranks in Europe since fully committing to golf at the age of 15. A native of the Netherlands, Ruiter is a current member of the Dutch National Team and previously finished tied for 16th at the Dutch Amateur Championship with a score of two-under par. The 6-foot-6 Dutch international recently won the 2021 Czech International Amateur Championship and has also competed in the European Boys Team Championship.
