CofC Finishes Road Swing at James Madison on Saturday

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston continues its two-game road trip on Saturday at James Madison. The Cougars and Dukes tip off at 4 p.m. ET on FloSports in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

- After dropping a tough battle at Towson, Charleston heads to Harrisonburg looking to avoid its first 3-game losing streak in league play since Feb. 13-Feb. 22 of the 2019-20 campaign and the first overall 3-game losing streak this season.
- CofC is 4-2 this season coming off a loss.
- Charleston and James Madison meet for the 17th time in their program histories in what will be JMU's final campaign as a CAA member institution.
- Charleston has won three straight in the series with James Madison and eight of the past nine meetings. The Cougars won last year on the road, 87-68, and have won three of the last four matchups with JMU in Harrisonburg.
- CofC has won the last three meetings with the Dukes by a combined 52 points.
- Despite the recent skid, Charleston continues to put up staggering rebounding numbers, especially on the offensive glass. The Cougars rank fourth in all of Division I in offensive boards per game with 14.31. CofC snagged a season-high 22 offensive boards in the loss at Towson, its most in a game since Nov. 6, 2018. CofC teams have snatched 18 offensive boards in a game just nine times in the past decade.
- The Cougars lead the CAA in rebounding and rank 11th nationally with 41.2 per game. CofC has at least nine offensive rebounds in all 16 games. The Cougars outpaced Towson on the glass despite the loss and have done so 13 times in 16 games.
- CofC has played in seven straight games decided by single digits, going 3-4 in that stretch.
- Senior John Meeks has put up at least 16 points in each of the last four games after scoring 16 second-half points at Towson. He is just 93 points shy of the 1,000 career point club after he poured in a season-high 27 points in the loss to UNCW, the most points scored by a Cougar this season. He's scored in double figures in his last six game appearances, averaging 17.4 PPG on 52.9 percent shooting in that span.
- A CofC freshman has scored in double figures in 13 of 16 games this season after Ben Burnham's 12-point outing at Towson. The Cougars young core features five freshmen contributing more than 30 points per game in a season filled with grad transfers around the country.
- Entering Saturday's game, CofC is 5-2 when Dimitrius Underwood reaches double figures.
