EDISTO ISLAND, S.C. - The No. 25 College of Charleston women's golf team holds on to a 12 stroke advantage after the second round at the Edisto Island Invitational.
The Cougars are currently 6-over after posting a 3-under second round on Monday. Charleston Southern is currently in second at 18-over.
"We took advantage of the wind being down a little today. I was very pleased with everyone's performance," said head coach Jamie Futrell.
Emma Schimpf rose three spots from her opening round placement to take the lead after a 5-under round. The sophomore is 4-over on the tournament after recording five birdies Monday with the remaining 13 holes on par.
