Track and Field/Cross Country Programs Sign Six Newcomers

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston head coach Amy Seago, associate head coach Mike Tornifolio and assistant coach Chris Bailey have inked six women who will join the Cougars next fall.
Kinsley Allen | Jumps | Williamston, S.C. | Palmetto HS
Tornifolio on Allen: "Kinsley is the top high jumper in the state. She is competitive and motivated to achieve big heights, and she will work well with our athletes in the jumping events. She will be competitive right away in our conference and compete at a national level."
Natalie Donaldson | Distance | Newark, Del. | Saint Mark's HS
Bailey on Donaldson: "Natalie is mature and is focused on her decisions and goals. There is no doubt she will hold herself and teammates to a high standard."
Madison Jent | Pole Vault | Charleston, S.C. | Philip Simmons HS
Tornifolio on Jent: "Madison is an up-and-coming talent in the pole vault. She has a high ceiling and will add depth to the group. I am excited to see how high she can jump in the coming years as we continue to build the group to compete at a high level in the CAA and on the national level."
Katie O'Toole | Distance | Milton, Mass. | Milton HS
Bailey on O'Toole: "Katie adds more mid-distance talent to our roster. Her experience running relays and in indoor track will be a major asset now that we have an indoor conference championship meet."
Sophie Pierce | Pole Vault | Boulder, Colo. | Fairview HS
Tornifolio on Pierce: "It is very exciting to add Sophie to the team. Watching her develop this year has been fun to watch. She brings a lot of energy and excitement to the event. She will help us elevate the group and gives us even more depth in the pole vault."
Cameron Wicker | Distance | Pomaria, S.C. | Mid-Carolina HS
Bailey on Wicker: "Cameron's love for running is apparent, and she will benefit from having supportive teammates around her."
Kinsley Allen | Jumps | Williamston, S.C. | Palmetto HS
- Earned all-state honors three times in the high jump
- Was all-region in high, long and triple jumps and Regional Athlete of the Year in 2021 and 2022
- Selected region Athlete of the Year in 2021 and 2022
- Holds school records in the high jump (5'8"), long jump (16'10") and triple jump (36'5")
- Competed for Tempo Sports Academy CJ Davidson for two years
- Was a high jump All-American finalist for CJ Davidson

- Two-time team captain for both cross country and track and field
- Was first team all-Catholic, all-county and all-state in cross country in 2019
- Earned spot on first team all-Catholic as a junior and senior
- Selected to compete at the Meet of Champions in 2019, 2020 and 2021
- Has PRs of 18:51 in 5k, 2:22 in indoor 800, 5:10 in indoor mile and 11:22 in 3200
- Helped lead team to state title in cross county in 2021 and outdoor track and field titles in 2021 and 2022

- Served as team captain in 2022
- Took state title in pole vault in 2021 and 2022
- Was Lower State champion with PR of 12'6" in May 2022
- Helped team win 2A state championships the past two years
- Competed for Mount Pleasant Track Club and was fourth at the Junior Olympics in 2021

Katie O'Toole | Distance | Milton, Mass. | Milton HS
- Voted team MVP for 2022 outdoor season and was Athlete of the Month in April
- Finished sixth in the mile (5:13) at MIAA championships in 2022
- Member of 4x800 relay team that was second at both indoor and outdoor state championships meet
- Ran on 4x800 relay team that qualified for the New Balance Outdoor Championships and ran a 2:20 split
- Helped lead cross country team to three state titles
- Selected Rookie of the Year for cross county and indoor and outdoor track her freshman season

Sophie Pierce | Pole Vault | Boulder, Colo. | Fairview HS
- Qualified for and competed in the pole vault in every league and state meet throughout her career
- Earned berth in the state meet in the high jump her junior season
- Set school pole vault record as a sophomore by clearing 11'9"
- Helped team finish second at the Class 5A state meet her sophomore year and fourth as a junior
- Was Academic All-State first team
- Competed for Above the Bar and was part of its national travel team

Cameron Wicker | Distance | Pomaria, S.C. | Mid-Carolina HS
- Won three region championships in cross country and was all-state in 2019 and 2020
- Was region titlist in 800, 1600 and 3200 and member of all-region team in 2021 and 2022
- Set school record in 1600 (5:14) at the SCHSL 3A state championship meet
- Also holds school marks in the 3200 (12:11) and 4x800 relay and has PR of 19:25 in the 5k
- Helped team win region champions in cross country (2020-22) and track and field (2021-22)
