Equestrian Wins High Point Team at Opening Show

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston equestrian team won high point at their home show over the weekend to kick-off the 2022-23 season.
The Cougars welcome Wofford, Converse, Coastal Carolina, Clemson, South Carolina, South Carolina-Aiken, Furman, Lander, Wesleyan and Georgia Southern to White Horses for a two-day show. CofC won high point team on Saturday while finishing as reserve high point team on Sunday.
Lily Borders and Morgan Phippen both punched their ticket to IHSA Regionals over the weekend, Borders in Intro Flat and Phippen in Limit Flat.
Complete results from the weekend are listed below. The team returns to action in February when they travel to Georgia Southern.

Open Flat: Kathryn McCarthy 4th
Open Fences: Kathryn McCarthy 3rd, Lily Toensing 3rd
Intermediate Flat: Hailey Pendl 1st, Emma Avent 1st, Lauren Katz 3rd, Cate Henandez 3rd
Intermediate Fences: Claire Lane 3rd
Limit Flat: Tita Curtin 2nd, Isabella Padula 5th, Olivia Welsh 2nd
Limit Fences: Alyson Fincke 3rd, McLean Holmes 5th
Novice: Lily Borders 1st, Amalie Ball 2nd
Introductory: Kathleen Boyle 5th
