CHARLESTON, S.C. --- Registration is now open for the College of Charleston baseball program's first pitch banquet to be held on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 6:00 p.m. on the field at Patriots Point announced head coach Chad Holbrook Monday. The event will serve as the grand opening of Tuck Morse Field, the Cougars' brand new state-of-the-art turf playing surface.
"The start of baseball is quickly approaching," Holbrook said. "We can't wait to kick off the 2023 season at our annual First Pitch Banquet. Please join us on Feb. 4 for this special event that will take place on our brand new Tuck Morse Field at Patriots Point!"
The annual fundraising event will take place directly on the field within the confines of a heated tent and will serve as an under-the-lights housewarming/open house for the Cougars' new field. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be relocated to the TD practice gym. A cocktail reception will precede the banquet at 6:00 p.m. Attire is business casual.
A live auction featuring several noteworthy items, including a golf cart, will serve as the centerpiece for the evening with a few items also available via silent auction. All proceeds will go to the baseball program. The night will also feature introductions to the 2023 roster as the Cougars make their final preparations for the season.
Individual tickets are priced at $100 and include admission for one, cocktails and dinner. Home Run VIP tables are priced at $1,000 and include admission for eight, cocktails, dinner and a CofC baseball swag bag. Grand Slam VIP tables are priced at $3,000 and feature admission for eight in the best seats in the house, cocktails and dinner, CofC home plate artwork, a piece of autographed memorabilia, and a CofC swag bag.
