
Cougars Embark on Busy Weekend on the Water

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston sailing team will set sail in three regattas this weekend with the offshore team competing at the CORA Frostbite and the dinghy team sailing in two team race events.
The Cougars will open the weekend at the CORA Frostbite Race with both Soul and Cougar entering the fray in the Charleston harbor. Sean Groskoph will be the driver on Soul with Burke Anvari at main, Julianna Corso at primary, Braden Johnson at secondary, Kate Schmiege at pit, Evan Chenard at mast and Cade Morris at bow. Skye Ehrhart will be driving Cougar with John McCarthy at main, Megan Fetterley at primary, Maggie Wilcox at secondary, Hadley Walsh at pit, Olivier Geraghty at squirrel, Nick Dunphey at mast and Connor Marion at bow.
Charleston's coed team will be in New Orleans this weekend to participate in the Nelson Roltsch Team Race at Tulane. Junior Taylor Hasson and senior Adrianna Lee will be in boat one with senior Pierce Ornstein and junior Anna Sherry in boat two. Sophomore Axel Stordahl and junior Noelle Owen are slated to sail in boat three with senior Jack Sutton and sophomore Max Anker at alternate.
The women's team is on the road as well traveling to St. Petersburg, Fla. to compete in the USF Women's Team Race on Saturday and Sunday. Freshman Fredrikke Foss and junior Roxanne Snyder will sail in boat one with sophomores Grace Squires and Kalea Woodard in boat two. Senior Kiera O'Reardon and sophomore Lucy Klempen will be in boat three with Rowan Schanley, Cara Samson and Sophia Browne at alternate.
