WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Charleston Basketball never trailed and dominated William & Mary, 84-61, on Thursday night in Williamsburg. The Cougars secured their first ever win on the road over the Tribe, snapping a 7-game losing skid at Kaplan Arena.
CofC has now won three of its last four games, picking up back-to-back victories over Northeastern and William & Mary by a combined 41 points. Five Cougars scored in double figures in the emphatic win over the Tribe with junior

Charleston shot a blistering 57 percent from the field and outrebounded the Tribe, 40-27. CofC's stifling defense swatted six shots, forced 12 turnovers and held William & Mary to 35.7 percent shooting, the lowest clip by any Charleston opponent this season.
The Cougars jumped in front early, 10-4, on the back of two
Reyne Smith 3-pointers and led for 38:45. Smith finished with 14 points on 5-of-8 FGs. Charleston pushed ahead by 12 but William & Mary would close within five heading into halftime with four straight made field goals.
The second half was all CofC as the Cougars blitzed the Tribe with 46 points over the final 20 minutes. Tucker scored 17 of his 21 in that span, punctuating the torrid frame with a runaway dunk and a pair of contested treys in the final minutes. Charleston missed just 10 shots in the whole second half en route to the big road win.
