MT. PLEASANT, S.C. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team continued its stellar play with back-to-back sweeps of Jacksonville and Eastern Kentucky on Saturday to push its win streak to seven and kick off the CofC Classic at Creekside Tennis & Swim Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cougars extended their win streak to seven matches with back-to-back sweeps of Jacksonville and Eastern Kentucky on Saturday behind clean sweeps at both three's and four's by the duos of Maria Zweig/Emma Falk and Kyra Thompson/Gabi Bailey.
 
PAIR OF THE DAY
The duo of Rebeca Olariu and Jasmin Goei set the tone in both matches with back-to-back straight-set victories at five's. They opened the day with a 21-12, 21-18 win against Jacksonville before cruising to a 21-14, 21-12 win against Eastern Kentucky's five's to even their season record at 3-3.
 
NOTABLES

• Thompson and Bailey pushed their win streak to eight matches and have not dropped a set in seven consecutive contests.
• Falk and Zweig have yet to taste defeat since being paired together and now stand at 7-0 on the season.
• Sky Benjamin and Sofie Vogel have now won recorded seven wins in the top flight.
