CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team returns home to host the CofC Beach Blast this weekend as the Cougars welcome Catawba, Erskine, Huntingdon, Texas A&M Kingsville, Tusculum and UNCW to Creekside Tennis & Swim Club Friday through Sunday.
 
Charleston enters the weekend with a 10-6 overall record after splitting with UNCW and Mercer at the Seahawks' Tournament on March 19. The Cougars have four pairs with at least seven wins and have won nine of their last 11.
 
THE OPPONENTS

• UNCW carries a 13-3 overall record having won eight straight entering the weekend.
• Erskine is 7-5 on the season with four wins in its last five matches.
• Huntingdon sports an 8-11 record this season and has won four of its last five including back-to-back sweeps of Oklahoma Wesleyan.
• Tusculum has dropped four of its last five after opening the season with eight wins in its first 10 match.
• Texas A&M Kingsville is 8-6 on the season and enters the weekend with a four-match winning streak.
• Catawba brings a 1-8-1 record into the weekend with a 4-1 win over Saint Andrews to open the season.

QUICK SETS

• Gabi Bailey and Kyra Thompson lead the way for CofC with an 11-2 record and are 9-1 in their last 10.
• Emma Falk and Maria Zweig are 10-1 – all in the third flight – after winning their first nine matches as a duo.
• Sky Benjamin and Ella Reames went 2-0 against UNCW and Mercer last weekend in their first two matches paired together.
• Amani Dunston and Sofie Vogel replicated Benjamin and Reames' feat with back-to-back victories last weekend.
