
Women’s Cross Country Earns CAA Team Academic Excellence Award

RICHMOND, VA. – The College of Charleston women's cross country team has been recognized as the recipient of the Colonial Athletic Association Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2021-22 school year.
The award honors the team in each CAA-sponsored sport with the top cumulative grade point average. The team GPA is a calculation of each student-athlete who appeared on a team's roster throughout the final day of their championship seasons.
The Cougars topped the nine schools that compete in women's cross country with a cumulative GPA of 3.693. Three runners – graduate students Cate Ambrose and Olivia Kneski and junior Rhian Purves – posted perfect 4.0 marks for the academic year.
