VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Due to windy conditions upwards of 20 miles per hour, play at the Evie Odom Invitational was suspended with two holes remaining on Thursday night in Virginia Beach.
The Cougars are currently tied for first with Princeton at 10-over while
Emma Schimpf holds the individual lead a 3-under, both tremendous feats considering the conditions.
"Conditions were brutal today. I'm super proud of our how team competed in the environment," said head coach
Jamie Futrell. "For Emma to play the way she did was remarkable."
Another impressive moment for the Cougars' was rookie
Adrian Anderson's hole-in-one on hole 15, a par 3 - 181 yards hole. She currently sits at T-38.Â
Mary Kathryn Talledo finished the day T-19 at 4-over along withÂ
Viktoria Hund.
Raegan Propes shot 5-over for T-28 followed by
Othilie Lied at a 7-over T-45 and
Smith Knaffle at an 8-over T-54.Â
Tournament officials will meet tomorrow to determine when and if play will resume.Â
