Viktoria Hund Named CAA Women’s Golfer of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – College of Charleston women's golf senior Viktoria Hund was named the CAA Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.
Hund paced the Cougars this last weekend at the Edisto Island Invitational shooting a 68 in her final round for a -1 and T3 on the leaderboard. She posted six birdies during that final 18 holes as the Cougars won by four strokes over Georgia Southern.
Hund's latest Golfer of the Week accolade adds to an already highly-decorated career that has seen the senior Bremen, Germany native earn weekly honors seven times. She has also been named to the CAA All-Conference First Team each of her first three seasons, was the Freshman Player of the Year in 2020-21 and Player of the Year for the 2021-22 season.
Her efforts at the top of the lineup at Edisto led the Cougars to their 37th tournament win under head coach Jamie Futrell including the 2023 CAA Championship this past spring. She's also the second Cougar to earn CAA Golfer of the Week joining teammate Othilie Lied.
Charleston closes their fall schedule Oct. 30 and 31 in the Sunshine State for the Hurricane Invitational.
