Kieron van Wyk Closes With Eagle, Leads Charleston in Final Round

DANIEL ISLAND, S.C. – Kieron van Wyk shot a -2 (70) final round Tuesday at the Ralston Creek Course on Daniel Island to jump 15 spots on the leaderboard and finish T25. His Eagle on 18 was the exclamation point on a -2 back nine after carding three birdies earlier in the round.

Charleston finished their fall season T8th (869, +5) with Lipscomb at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate shooting 294 (+6) on the day.

van Wyk was joined on the leaderboard by teammate Loran Appel who shot +1 (73) Tuesday while Jack Tickle finished just one stroke behind.

Tuesday's final round on Daniel Island concludes the fall slate. The spring season is set to begin Feb. 5-6 on John's Island at the Battle at Briars Creek.
