CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's golf team will host their first tournament of the 2023-2024 season, the Battle at Briar's Creek, starting Monday at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek in Johns Island. The team will play two 18-hole rounds on Monday followed by a single final round of Tuesday.

The Cougars are coming off a three-month break after playing in Daniel Island, South Carolina October 29-31. Kieron van Wyk shot a -2 (70) final round at the Ralston Creek Course on Daniel Island to jump 15 spots on the leaderboard and finish T25.
 
College of Charleston's Zach Reuland had an impressive final round at last year's Battle at Briar's Creek to earn a top-ten finish at T7 (-1). He scored three consecutive birdies on holes five through seven to rise 11 spots.
