Schimpf, Hund Lead Charleston In Final Fall Tournament

MIAMI, Fla. – Emma Schimpf (-4) and Viktoria Hund (-3) led the College of Charleston women's golf team in their final fall round placing among the field's top-12 at the Miami Invitational. The Cougars finished 8^th on the leaderboard carding an 865 (+1) across the 54-hole, two-day tournament.

"It was another good tournament for Emma and Vik. They truly are world class players week in and week out," said head coach Jamie Futrell. "We just need a little more consistency from the others moving forward. If we get that consistency it could be a special spring."

Schimpf finished T8th while Hund finished just one stroke behind at T12th. Emily Dunlap shot a team-best 70 (-2) on Tuesday to climb 15 spots on the leaderboard.

Adrian Anderson finished T31 for the Cougars shooting a 218 (+2) highlighted by a -2 (70) in her second round Monday.

Charleston ends their fall season with the Miami Invitational. The spring season is set for Feb. 4-6 in Orlando at the UCF Challenge.
