Women's Golf Earns Top Five Finish in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. - The College of Charleston women's golf team opened the spring slate with a T4 finish at the UCF Challenge. The Cougars shot a team total of 856 (-8) and tied with #13 UCF and #14 Northwestern in the final standings. Charleston finished higher than eight Power 5 schools in the final standings.
"What a great way for the team to start off the spring. We beat some great teams this week and were in the mix at the end.It was a total team effort," said head coach Jamie Futrell. "Putting three people under par again bodes well for the depth of our lineup."
Adrian Anderson (-5), Viktoria Hund (-1), and Emily Dunlap (-1) all finished under par. In addition, Charleston recorded the second most birdies of the tournament with 51 while Anderson led the field with 15.
To cap off the weekend, Othilie Lied recorded an eagle on 16 during the final round.
The Cougars return to action on February 18 at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational hosted by Michigan State.
