Cougars To Sail in Four Regattas

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- College of Charleston sailing continues their fall season with four more regattas on the slate for this weekend including the CofC Fall Women's Championship, Oyster Bowl, Women's Oyster Bowl and Open ACC Qualifier.

Last weekend saw the Cougars qualify for the Women's ACC Championship with a top-three finish while taking the top two spots in the Charleston Fall Interconference regatta.

Rowan Schanley and Isabella Shakespeare will skipper for the Cougars at the CofC Fall Women's Championship with crew members Grace Beard and Ashley Alfortish against a field of nine teams.

At the Open ACC Qualifier, Charleston will have Noah Zittrer, Lucy Klempen and Aidan Iaconis along with Benajmin Dufour, Chloe Hudgins and Garrett Grenauer.

Charleston will also sail in the Oyster Bowl Open with Harrison Thomson, Andrea Melnik, Alex Gonzales and Brylie Schacubach while Grace Squires, Clara Murphy, Fredrikke Foss, Emily Alfortish, Noelle Owen and Marina Dryer compete in the Women's Oyster Bowl.
