Cougars Return to TD Arena to Host Gardner-Webb

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston women's basketball will return home to TD Arena to face the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
The Cougars are coming off a nailbiter win to rival Charleston Southern. The teams stayed within single digits of each other until the fourth quarter, where consistency from the free throw line gave Charleston the victory.
Alexis Andrews paced the Cougars with a game-high 19 points. Andrews has at least 15 points in all three games this season. She also tallied three steals and two rebounds.
Returning to the starting lineup was Jenna Annecchiarico, who contributed 18 points, eight assists and five rebounds and three steals in an all-around effort.

This contest will serve as just the second matchup between the two schools, with the first being hosted by Gardner-Webb last season. The Bulldogs went on to defeat the Cougars on their home court, 91-87.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
The Bulldogs are the reigning Big South Champions, finishing the 2022-23 season undefeated in their conference. Gardner-Webb saw a historic season, going 13-0 at home and taking a trip to the NCAA Tournament in March.
Gardner-Webb currently sits 0-4, looking for its first win of the season. The Bulldogs started the season with a trip to ranked opponent UNC-Chapel Hill.
