CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team hosts crosstown rival The Citadel on Thursday night at TD Arena. Action is set for 7:00 p.m.

STORYLINES

The College of Charleston men's basketball team hosts crosstown rival The Citadel in the 98th all-time meeting between the programs. Charleston holds the series edge 58-40 and 37-6 in the Division I era.
The Cougars won the meeting last season 79-57 at McAlister Field House on December 3, 2022. Ante Brzovic led Charleston with 16 points and 11 rebounds, the first double-double of his Cougar career.
The 2022 meeting was the first between the former Southern Conference foes since 2016. The two institutions are less than two miles apart.
Charleston currently ranks 28th in the country in bench points per game (39.00).
Brzovic recorded his 1000th career point vs. Rhode Island on December 10. He totaled 499 during his freshman season at Southeastern Oklahoma State and has 502 in his two seasons as a Cougar.
Graduate transfer Frankie Policelli is just seven points away from reaching 1,000 career points while teammate Bryce Butler is 21 points away from reaching 2,000 career points.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

The Citadel currently sits at 6-4 on the season. The Bulldogs have not played since December 5 when they defeated Division III Pfieffer 88-60 in Charleston.
AJ Smith leads the Bulldogs with 16.5 points per game followed by Elijah Morgan with 11.3.
The Bulldogs have outrebounded their opponent in all 10 contests this season. Quentin Millora-Brown and Winston Hill both rank inside the top ten in the SoCon in rebounds at fourth and eighth respectively.
