
Cougars defeat SC State in Record Night

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team defeated South Carolina State 84-64 on Tuesday night in TD Arena.
Four Cougars saw double-digits, led by Alexis Andrews with a career high of 32 points. Andrews ending the evening 9-for-13 from beyond the arc, giving her a new career high of nine three-pointers and placing her second all-time in program history for three's made in a single game.
Jenna Annecchiarico ended the night breaking her own program record with 14 assists in a single game, which she previously had set with 13 assists against Gardner-Webb. Annecchiarico tallied 10 points, giving her a double-double to finish the contest.
Taryn Barbot reached double-digits, scoring 14 points for the night with three triples. Jada Logan added 13 points to the board with six assists.
The first quarter remained close between the two squads, as the Cougars headed into the second quarter with just a three-point lead.
From the start of the second quarter, Charleston began to heat up and never cooled down. Totaling 13 baskets from beyond the arc, the fourth most in program history.
