JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Charleston took down Tampa and Tusculum Saturday in dominant 4-1 fashion to finish their weekend 3-2 at the Jacksonville Tournament.

How It Happened

Charleston clinched the first match staking a 3-0 lead behind wins on courts two through four with Emma Falk and Kora Hansen providing the clincher.
Sofie Vogel and Maria Zweig got a 21-14, 21-17 win to start their morning before Ella Reames and Tynley Smeltzer joined on the straight-set action with a 21-16, 21-15 decision on court four.
Mikaela Dougherty and Alexa Psotka battled on court five putting a final stamp on the Cougar win outlasting their counterparts in a 21-19, 19-21, 16-14 full-length victory.

Notes

The duos of Sofie Vogel/Maria Zweig and Ella Reames/Tynley Smeltzer went 2-0 to pace the Cougars on courts two and four.
Alexa Psotka went 2-0 on the day teaming up with Michaela Dougherty and Elizabeth Curry for wins on the fifth court. The first win came in three-set fashion before sweeping their Tusculum counterpart.
