
Charleston Sailing Heads to Norfolk, Columbia, Annapolis and Kings Point

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sailing hits the water for four more races this weekend including the Carolina Trophy, the Navy Spring Women's Race, the Admiral Moore Team Race and the Aaron Szambecki Team Race.
Charleston is coming off a strong showing last weekend claiming victory at the Lake Norman Open and placing second at the Navy Women's Fleet Race.
The Cougars placed third at the 2022 Aaron Szambecki Race and look to continue that success when they take on Old Dominion, Tulane, Tufts, Roger Williams, St. Mary's, Fordham, George Washington, USF and Georgetown. Charleston will send Benjamin Dufour, Alex Gonzalez, Charlie Mckenzie, Nina Lubchenco, Brylie Schaubach, Kaili Yap, Aiden Millar and Aiden Iaconis to Norfolk.
Charleston looks to claim the Carolina Trophy as they head to Columbia to face Clemson, Duke, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, UNCW, Wake Forest and a pair of South Carolina teams. The Cougars will have a rotation of Elliot Raison, Blanche Merveilleux, Katie Hanley and Paige Lubrano in Columbia.
At the Jen Harris Team Race at the Naval Academy, the Cougars are scheduled to face off with UPenn, Tulane, Navy, George Washington, Georgetown, Dartmouth and Cornell. Leading the Cougars will be Emily Alfortish, Emma Tallman, Grace Squires, Fredrikke Foss, Chloe Hudgins, Kalea Woodard, Marina Dryer and Rowan Schanley.
Charleston will also take part in the Admiral Moore Open over the weekend as they're slated to compete against Hobart & William Smith, Navy, Brown, US Merchant Marines, Cornell, Dartmouth, UPenn, SUNY Maritime and Miami. The Cougars will be skippered by Axel Stordahl, Brandon Geller, Noah Zittrer, Noelle Owen, Lucy Klempen, Anna Sherry, Ty Ryan, Orion Adelman and Garrett Grenauer
