
Cougars Set to Attend Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

ATHENS, Ga. - The College of Charleston women's golf team will attend the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of Georgia from March 24-26 in Athens, Georgia. The tournament is one of the oldest sporting events in all of women's intercollegiate athletics with this weekend serving as the 51st edition.
The Cougars are currently 50th in the NCAA Power Rankings and 46th in the Golfstat Rankings. Last week, junior Viktoria Hund was named CAA Golfer of the Week for the second time this season.
Charleston most recently finished seventh overall in the Briar's Creek Invitational. Hund led the Cougars with a ninth place finish and 1-under tournament.
The Cougars are taking on top ranked teams in No. 4 South Carolina, No. 9 Texas A&M, No. 10 Auburn, No. 18 Virginia, and No. 20 Florida this weekend.
