
Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host Drexel

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston women's basketball will return home to host Drexel on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
The Cougars started 2-0 in CAA play for the first time since 2019-20, defeating N.C. A&T (63-58) and Elon (57-45) on the road. The Cougars are 8-2 in their last 10 games.
Taryn Barbot paced the Cougars with 17.5 points per game, adding 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest. Barbot had 22 points at Elon, marking her fourth 20-point effort this year.
Jenna Annecchiarico extended her double figures scoring streak to 11 games. She averaged 14.5 points per game with 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals per contest.
The Cougars will be looking to remain undefeated at home, currently 6-0 at TD Arena.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Drexel is 7-6 overall, hosting Hampton and Northeastern last weekend to kick off CAA play. The Dragons defeated Hampton 72-67 before narrowly beating Northeastern 67-65 to remain undefeated in the conference.
The Dragons are led by Brooke Mullin, who reached double figures in both games, leading Drexel with 19.5 points per game. Mullin had 22 points against Hampton, marking her third game with 20 or more this season.
Also contributing to the wins, Chloe Hodges tallied a career-high 21 points versus NU, including the game-winner. She added six rebounds and four assists.
