CHARLESTON, S.C.- The College of Charleston inked three signees on National Signing Day, head coach Angelo Anastopoulo has announced.
Olivia Bull joins the College from Myrtle Beach, having attended Connections Academy in Columbia, South Carolina. During her time in high school, Bull has won two state championships and was given the sportsmanship award and named Most Valuable Player of the Year.
"Olivia is a fierce fighter that will make her opponent earn every point," says Anastopoulo." Her competitiveness is second to none and will be a crowd favorite. Olivia has a huge upside and will only get better as she gets stronger physically. She is a natural leader that will push her teammates to improve each practice. Olivia has a high tennis IQ and loves being on the court. Her father was the number one ranked junior in the United States and is the Director of Tennis for The Dunes Club in Myrtle Beach."
Sia Cariov joins the Cougars from Florida, attending high school at Boulder Universal in Colorado. During her junior career, Cariov earned a junior ITF ranking of 481 and was a J30 doubles winner as well as a J30 singles finalist.
"Sia has an immensely powerful game with the ability to earn free points with her serve and forehand. She has participated in many professional tournaments, gaining needed experience that has her well prepared for college tennis. She will excel in a team environment and will be a fantastic addition to the program this upcoming spring. Her father was a terrific tennis player for both Texas Tech and DePaul. He is currently a tennis pro in Delray Beach, FL. Her brother was a strong tennis player for PC and The Citadel where he currently serves as the assistant coach."
Riley Trinkle joins the women's tennis program from Charlestown, Indiana. Ranking as a top 100 recruit in the nation and one of the top players out of Indiana, Trinkle will become the second Cougar in her family.
"Riley is expected to make an immediate impact in singles and doubles. She won a silver ball in doubles (National Runner-up) at the US National Championships in San Diego making Riley the highest rated doubles player to join the cougars in program in history. She comes from an athletic family with her mom playing tennis for the University of Louisville and sister Halli a standout player for the Cougars from 2019-2024."
