CHARLESTON, S.C.- The College of Charleston women's basketball team defeated App State on Tuesday night inside TD Arena, 83-47.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Cougars started the game on a 10-0 run to take an early lead, backed by five points from Taryn Barbot right out the gate.
Charleston outscored their opponent in all four quarters, taking a 27-point lead into the break.
Seven Cougars found success from behind the arc, led by Taryn Barbot with 18 points. Three other players also reached double-digit scoring in the matchup.
CofC found its largest lead of the game when a three-point shot from Sophia Tougas brought Charleston's lead to 40.
The Cougars find their first win versus the Mountaineers since 2016 and their largest margin of victory against App State in program history.

LEADING COUGARS

Taryn Barbot knocked down 18 points on the night complimented by four buckets from the three-point line and six steals.
Taylor Barbot neared a double-double with 10 points and a career-high nine assists.
Lara Rohkohl tallied 12 points in the matchup with a team-high nine rebounds.
Sophia Tougas grabbed a double-digit performance with 11 points after knocking down three shots from beyond the arc.
