Equestrian Earns High Point Honors on Senior Day

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston IHSA equestrian team earned high point honors at their home show this past weekend at White Horses LLC. The Cougars also celebrated Senior Day.

"We had an unbelievable weekend, earning the tricolor championship overall High Point team award for both Saturday and Sunday.," said head coach Natasha V. McCarthy "I could not be more proud of our team's work ethic and drive! It's very exciting to see our seniors being recognized today and to so many of ours advancing on to post season."

On Saturday, the Cougars earned high point team while Kathryn McCarthy earned high point rider honors. Four riders qualified for regionals - Tita Curtin in limit flat, Lindsey Johnson is limit flat, McCarthy in open flat and fences, and Natalie Juckett in novice.

On Sunday, the Cougars again high point team honors and reserve high point team in the region. Lainie Rubin received the regional sportsmanship award and three more Cougars qualified for regionals - Grace Roberts in intermediate fences, Morgan Phippen in intermediate flat, and Vada Hobson in limit flat.
