Allen, 4x800 Relay Team Score at CAA Championships

NEW YORK CITY – Kinsley Allen took seventh place in the high jump, and the 4x800 relay team finished fourth on the final day of the CAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Nike Armory in New York.
Allen cleared 1.67m (5'5 ¾") to move into a tie for third place in school history while the team of Savannah Stoutt, Sydney Peer, Andie Harding and Rhian Purves set a school record with a time of 9:08.49.
Sophia Brown zoomed from 10th to second in the 3000 by crossing in 10:01.01, 17 seconds better than her previous career best. Hannah Wise entered the record book in eighth place with her time of 10:12.79.
Abby Fush advanced to the finals in the triple jump and just missed scoring by placing ninth with a top mark of 11.61m (38'1 ¼"). That jump kept her fourth in school history, and Avery Jackson took over 10th with a leap of 10.99m (36'0 ¾").
The Cougars are off next week before beginning their outdoor season at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge on March 8-9.
