
Cougars Host Towson for Rematch

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's basketball team will return home to host a rematch with Towson on Friday, March 1 for their annual Black Out game.
Charleston went 1-1 on the road this weekend to conclude a three-game road swing. CofC defeated Hofstra (88-59) before falling to Monmouth (73-63).
Jada Logan averaged 25.0 points per game to lead CofC. She had back-to-back 20-point efforts, scoring 24 against Hofstra and 26 at Monmouth. Logan has five 20-point performances this season.
Taryn Barbot averaged 14.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. She recorded her second double-double this season on Friday.
Charleston fell to Towson earlier in conference play by a seven-point deficit. Looking to avenge the loss, the Cougars are looking to defend TD Arena, currently sitting with an 11-1 record at home. Currently tied for fourth in the CAA, a win from the Cougars will bring them one step closer to scoring a double-bye in the conference tournament.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Towson went 2-0 over the weekend, defeating Hampton (78-65) on the road Friday before a victory over Delaware (70-57) at home on Sunday.
Leading the Tigers is Alexia Nelson, who surpassed double figures in both games, averaging 15.0 points per contest. Nelson has reached double figures in seven of the past eight games.
Also contributing to Towson's wins was Kylie Kornegay-Lucas, who recorded her fifth double-double this season. She tallied 15 points and 12 rebounds, adding six assists.
Tip off is set for 7:00 p.m. at TD arena and will be available to watch on FloHoops.
Black t-shirts will be given out to the first 150 fans to arrive.
